Mini Excavators
Compact or Mini Excavators are any mechanical device for digging, moving, and transporting dirt or soil. Much smaller than the larger excavators, these machines typically weigh in at anywhere from one ton to over six tons. Often used to alter the landscape in order to prepare it for a road, a building or some other sort of construction, excavators are a modern marvel. Weighing up to as much as 100 tons or as little as 1 ton, they are capable of changing our environment on a grand scale. In the space of a day, they can clear an acre of land, dig a trench 12 feet deep and 100 yards long, or transport several tons of material over a mile a way.

Earth Movers: mounted on tracks with a blade attached to the front for pushing large amounts of material, the earth mover is using the first
machine on a site when building a road, a bridge or a house. Is used extensively in the clearing of land for farming. When a movable blade is attached
in front it is called a bulldozer. Bulldozers or earth movers are used to clear brush or debris, remove boulders, and level ground.
Skid Steer Loaders: is basically a front loader that uses a differential 'skid' steering technology and often
has the engine and a counter weight located behind the operator. Perfect for operating in small confined spaces, this machine is more maneuverable
than a conventional tractor based front loader.
Backhoe Loaders: also simply called a backhoe, this piece of equipment consists of a digging bucket on the
end of a hydraulic arm. The digging bucket is typically mounted on the back of a tractor. Some backhoes also have a front end loader. When the
backhoe is attached to a swiveling cab on top of tracks it is commonly referred to as an excavator.
Front End Loaders is a type of wheeled tractor that has a wide square tilting bucket on the end
of movable arms to lift and move material. Used for loading sand, dirt and mud and transporting it into trucks, clearing rubble and digging on a limited basis.
