Bulldozers
Bulldozers are powerful earth moving tractors with tracks and a blade. Its immense weight, powerful engine, tracks and blade are the bulldozers most distinctive features. The tracks provide these machines excellent traction and mobility in the most unusual conditions by distributing the weight over a large area. This not only prevents the bulldozer from sinking in soft wet ground, but allows it to move large amounts of earth. The most famous bulldozer is probably the D9 manufactured by Catepillar. Used for clearing land for farming, road building and logging, the D9 "cat" has been a major force behind the development of land for industrial use. Some of the most popular bulldozers today include the Caterpillar or Cat bulldozer, the John Deere and Case bulldozers.

Bulldozer Applications
Heavy equipment like the bulldozer is essential in preparing land for future development. It is used in many areas such as agriculture, forestry and civil engineering projects. Bulldozers are power in motion and can satisfy almost any job requiring scraping, digging, pushing, pulling, and moving even the most awkward and heaviest of materials. Bulldozers are found on both large and small scale projects including construction sites, mines, roads, heavy industry and large governmental projects. Bulldozers are used to clear trees, remove boulders, and level ground. With a blade the bulldozer is also used to to level and contour land, as in road construction. With specialised blades, it was also used for handling high volume loads such as coal, to remove only larger boulders, or for cutting tree stumps. While bulldozers were orginally used for clearing land for farming and roads, they are now used in an ever growing list of applications.
